Why recruitment? …and what’s the best part of your role within Avenue? I enjoy the fast paced competitive environment of recruitment always reacting on the B of Bang to stay one step ahead. The best part of working with Avenue is the team ethos and ambitious nature of the company and my colleagues
Favorite food and drink? Diet Coke, cannot function without it! Then Kinder eggs…it’s all about the surprise!
What, or who, are you a “closet” fan of? Dolly Parton, I have actually been to see her live in Birmingham and would like to visit Dollywood in America at some point
Favorite holiday destination? Malta, beautiful country, friendly people, great food and a very relaxed atmosphere. I also Enjoy family breaks in the Caravan at Loch Faskally & Pitlochry
What was your favourite TV show when growing up? When I was young I loved The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Thunder cats. As I got a bit older Saved by The Bell took over
Favourite sport or past-time? I Shoot Catapults/Slingshots all over the UK in Competitions and I am Lucky enough to be sponsored. I currently hold 2 Scottish Titles and have placed 2nd in the British Summer Championships. I am hoping to compete in The European Championships and World Cup in the future
Where are the biggest challenges in Construction & Industrial markets currently? I would say at the moment there seems to be a Shortage of good quality qualified candidates. This has resulted in a very candidate driven market, meaning companies have to do more to attract the best possible candidates.
What’s the one piece of advice you would give one of your candidates today? Work Hard, be on time and be honest with me. Don’t burn bridges with employers as it’s a small world
